Studio Valle Stallman and ArcAxi Studio are about connections and ideas. Connecting clients with design ideas which create innovative art, interior design and architectural projects. Thomas is an associate member of the AIA & the IIDA. He received his Bachelor of Fine Art Degree from MCAD, the Minneapolis College of Art and Design and his Master’s of Architecture degree from SCI_Arc, the Southern California Institute of Architecture. His art, architecture
and design training included firms Frank Gehry Partners & Israel Callas Shortridge Chu.
In association with these firms, and his own StudioVS, he has worked on buildings in England, France, Spain,
Czech Republic, UAE, China and the United States. This work has been awarded by both the national American Institute of Architects and by the regional L.A. and S.F.V. chapters and has been featured in many
art, design and architectural publications and exhibitions.
Thomas also prides himself on Connections and Ideas for his students. As an educator, Thomas teaches at Pasadena City College Visual Arts & Media, and has taught at Woodbury University School of Architecture and the Art Institute of California and the University of California. He has also worked as an educator for the City of Los Angeles Cultural Affairs where he organized and moderated lecture series on Art, Design and Architecture and served as a designer of exhibitions and as a curator. He has lectured at the AIAS, in Toronto Canada, National Building Museum in Washington D.C. and at the John Muir Society and has served as the administrator for the
Los Angeles Forum for Architecture and Urban Design.
Thomas is thoroughly invested in finding pathways and design voices for his students.
